Dear all,

I have the following problem. When I am trying to chroot, I get the error "FATAL: kernel too old". I have mounted my hard disk partion as rw and added the proc and dev things. My current guess of where the problem comes from is that I am trying to install gentoo from a version of "damn small linux". Unfortunately, I cannot find a solution myself. Anybody can help me?

Best,
Helge

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Duplicate Threads.

Your chroot needs a kernel that supports NTPL. The kernel from DSL doesn't seem to support this. Try the gentoo minimal install cd.
