Hi, all.

I'm struggling to boot from the CDROM on my SS20. I have done
Code:
probe-scsi

and that seems to see 2 HDD's and a Toshiba CDROM as
Code:
target 6

Can anybody help me work out whether my alias is set-up correctly?

Many thanks,

Chris.

I think the problem may be that I have two different alias for my CDROM. Anyone know how I can check this, so I can rectify it?

Thanks,

Chris.

The command "devalias" should list the existing device aliases and what they point to.

devalias looks ok. The only difference is that the cdrom entry has

Code:
:d

at the end of it.

I haven't had a SS20 powered on in a while, but my recollection is that having the :d on the end is the default.

That would make sense, but the SS20 boots from the disk by default. Strange.

Any other ideas, guys? Would I be better-off restoring the factory defaults?
Code:
set-defaults

Thanks,

Chris.
