FINALLY I have my PCMCIA wireless card working thanks to all the great posts people have made in the past.

THANK YOU ALL.

Now, after using airtraf it seems my card is no loger in "normal" mode. By this I mean it's useless until I reboot. I guess airtraf puts it in "promiscuos mode" or something?

Anyway, I've tried restarting init.d/pcmcia, using iwconfig to reset all parameters, cardctl to reset and none work.

How do I make my card normal again without rebooting??

Thanks in advance.

Ok. After some googling and more tinkering I figured it out.
Code:

# iwpriv [interface] monitor 0 0

makes it monitor "nothing".

The monitor option isn't listed in the man page because it's a card-specific .

To see what card-specific features exist use:
Code:

# iwpriv
