Hello all,
I built the 2.67.20r5 kernel with SMP support for up to 2 processors just like all of my others, however It will not detect the second processor.
SUN Ultra 60 - 2x 450mhz processor
Any ideas?
thanx

Make sure you have (in .config):
Code: |
CONFIG_SMP=y
CONFIG_NR_CPUS=4
|
(The CPUs in the U60 are numbered 0 and 2)

I have to set
CONFIG_NR_CPUS=16 on my E4500 to get it to see all 8 processors. I wondered why that was, now it makes sense. My processors are numbered 0,1,4,5,8,9,14,15.
The only thing that doesn't make sense is why 14 and 15 since the machine only supports 14 cpus, which would be 0-13 if ordered sequentially and fully stocked. _________________ Grrr, can't think of anything clever right now, I'll go back and edit this later (9/12/2003) |
