|
|
miscbox ~ # USE="nsplugin" emerge -puND world | grep black
[ebuild R ] dev-java/blackdown-jre-1.4.2.03-r13 USE="(-nsplugin*)"
miscbox ~ # USE="-* nsplugin" emerge -puND world | grep black
[ebuild R ] dev-java/blackdown-jre-1.4.2.03-r13 USE="(-nsplugin*)"
What could be causing this? (It is currently installed with nsplugin enabled, and I am not updating it.) |

That doesn't help, as this is a 32 bit system. |

The flag is masked on your profile and therefore can't be changed. |

While the discussion in the topic "Removing the 64-bit Java browser plugin" was initially specific to amd64 systems, the USE flag was masked via ${PORTDIR}/profiles/base/package.use.mask, and as such the masking is not limited to amd64 systems. For more information, consult post 4030636 by Philantrop and the Gentoo Java Guide.
