|
|
I just upgraded from 2.6.19-suspend-r3 to 2.6.20-gentoo-r3 (2.6.20-gentoo-r6 fails to boot due to some IDE problem with the MCP51 Chipset). I'm using a HP tx1120us (tx1000z) laptop.
The problem that I'm having is that now the nvidia is defaulting to the external monitor output instead of the builtin LCD screen. It works fine when I boot into the 2.6.19 kernel. Is there an nvidia option to tell it to output to a different monitor?
The main reason why I need 2.6.20 is because the ndiswrapper for the bcm4311 causes irq 22 to die, which kills the wireless. It's supposed to be fixed in 2.6.20.

SOLVED. Turns out I accidentally deleted my /etc/portage/package.keywords file and then installed an older version of the nvidia driver. Installed the latest ~x86 one and now it works fine. |

Could i have your kernel config file and boot options? i can't seem to get anything working right on this laptop.
