I recently unmerged Gnome in favor of KDE. After that I did a depclean, then emerge --newuse world, then revdep-rebuild. Now everytime I boot up or shutdown, udev is going crazy. This is from /var/log/messages. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks for the help

You need to update your configuration files. Use etc-update or dispatch-conf. (You should do this after every update). |

For anyone else with this same problem check here http://gentoo-wiki.com/TIP_dispatch-conf |
