Try
# emerge mozilla-firebird-bin
if that works, then type
# emerge mozilla-firebird
If you got no result, emerge rsync |

Try:
emerge /usr/portage/net-www/mozilla-firebird/mozilla-firebird-0.6-r5.ebuild
The source package is masked still. It works great on all my systems however.
Enjoy!

What do you mean when you say that "the source package is masked still"? The r5 ebuild is marked as stable on x86. I'd suggest doing an emerge sync and seeing if you still get this problem. It sounds to me like your mozilla-firebird-0.6-r5.ebuild is an old one which hasn't yet been updated to mark it as stable. |
