I keep getting the following messages in my log files very often
Apr 8 14:00:01 hostname cron[7294]: (root) CMD (test -x /usr/sbin/run-crons && /usr/sbin/run-crons)
Apr 8 14:00:01 hostname cron[7296]: (root) CMD (rm -f /var/spool/cron/lastrun/cron.hourly)
Apr 8 14:10:01 hostname cron[7326]: (root) CMD (test -x /usr/sbin/run-crons && /usr/sbin/run-crons)
Apr 8 14:20:01 hostname cron[7338]: (root) CMD (test -x /usr/sbin/run-crons && /usr/sbin/run-crons)
has anyone any ideas why this happens because it's starting to puzzle me why its running |

[DUP] for (among others) Cron message every 10 minutes in /var/log/message... _________________ Nothing is secure / Security is always a trade-off with usability / Do not assume anything / Trust no-one, nothing / Paranoia is your friend / Think for yourself |
