After an update, I can't login to gnome 2.16.2 since I updated it. The logo shows up but it then stops. If I create a new user and start gnome, everything is ok so probably it has to do with some config I have. Is there a way to start gnome with any debugging flag to get info on where it stops during startup?
Cheers,
Paulo Matos

Since it works for a new user, it seems this is due to a config problem.
Try to rename or delete the .gnome* files in your home directory, see if that helps. |

In fact it was a problem with a .icons directory which seemed to have some probs.
Removing it worked out! |
