In my opinion "the rules" regarding posting on these forums have been applied without due consideration to the purpose of these forums, namely the facilitation of communications about Gentoo related issues. Open source coders have historically rejected top down control, and the promotion of this paradigm by administrators will generate resentment. Gentoo is an excellent Linux distribution, and a credit to those who have participated in it's production. Over-zealous or authoritarian attitudes do not mix well with the philanphropy of open source software, and are likely to have a negative effect upon the Gentoo community.

As amne stated earlier in this thread, you can disable the account yourself by going to your profile, changing your email address and then deleting the email without clicking on the activation link.

I cant figure out how to delete my account on this forum, if a moderator could help me out, and just go ahead and delete it that would be great. My username has been hacked accross the internet, and I am trying to squash it anywhere I used to frequent.
