I am trying to do an 'emerge -uD world', but it tells me tow packages are blocking:
[blocks B ] >=x11-proto/xproto-7.0.6 (is blocking x11-libs/libX11-1.0.1-r1)
[blocks B ] =app-dicts/aspell-en-0.5* (is blocking app-text/aspell-0.60.6-r1)
...
But when I try to 'emerge -C xproto' I just get 'Couldn't find 'xproto' to unmerge. The same happens with the other one. What can I do to get around this? |

well the temporary solution would be to
Code: | emerge --skipfirst -uD world |
you will have to do this once for each blocker and then at least you can finish the rest of the emerge while you figure this out. I know I have had this problem before but I will be damned if I can remember what the real fix was. |
