hi!
i'm running on a Asus A7N8X with 9500Pro graphics card.
Everything works fine, but after some time working in a graphical environment the usb mouse hangs up, and won't work any more. i'm using gentoo- sources for my kernel build. and approximatly the first 10 minutes of usage it works.
so what have i done wrong, or what can i do to repair it?

I had this problem about a year ago with my first attempt at Gentoo. I hate to admit it, but I went back to Windows after this and some problems with my wireless Internet card ... I was using gentoo-sources at the time
On my return, I used first xfs-sources (because of XFS ... actually forgot about this until now), then switched to ck-sources, which work much better for my system. I will reinstall gentoo-sources on my testing partition and let you know if I experience problems again. Meanwhile, try ck-sources or ac-sources and see if you have any luck rousting the problem.
My initial guess was ACPI issues, since this has been the ultimate source of problems on my Laptop. |
