|
I've noticed that running emerge changes the title in my xterm or Eterm window while it is running, and when it's done changes it to "xterm." I would like to leave my window titles the way I have them set. I would really like to have it back to what it was originally before I ran emerge when it's done. (Having an Eterm with a title of "xterm" is rather silly.)
Running "emerge --help" doesn't show any command line options that say anything about this. |

Hi,
I think the easiest way would be to switch the "dotitles" flag in output.py.
Code: | $your-favorite-editor /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/output.py |
Line ~8:

Put "notitles" into the FEATURES entry in /etc/make.conf _________________ Sometimes the appropriate response to reality is to go insane.

What if I want it to mess with titles, but not set it to xterm when it's done. Is there a way to define what I want set at the end? |

There is still an open bug on this. Even if you have
Code: | FEATURES='notitles' |
your title won't be set, but it will be set to 'xterm' after emerge is done.
