Printing problems in KDE3 - Please HELP!

Hi,
I have kde 3.0.2 installed. The problem is that I can't printer anything but .dvi, .ps and .pdf. If I try to print images, html, plain text I get a SEGFAULT in the applications. Same thing happens in kcontrol in Printing Manager: when I open the "Configure Manager" and try to edit "Commands" I get a SEGFAULT. At first I thought it was because I had not filters installed, but I emerged enscript and netpbm and everything should work fine. Also kprinter crashes on startup. It seems a filter-related problem, since I can print ps and similar. The same problem happens on two different PC and does not depend upon the printing system I use.
Please help me, I don't know what to do. Can you print html and images from konqui, for example?
