Hi,
I thought i'll just install gentoo from stage1 and for some reason i get this weird error during chrooting:
knoppix@Knoppix:/mnt/gentoo$ sudo chroot /mnt/gentoo/ /bin/bash
chroot: cannot run command `/bin/bash': Exec format error
I tried to do the same from a minimal gentoo 2006.0 cd but i got the same error, this is the first time I'm installing from stage1 but I installed it many times from stage3.
I'm looking at the guides http://slicer.homeip.net/FILES/Installing_Gentoo_OLD.htm and http://jackass.homelinux.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=133&sid=76231dfed3864ae37cff5bd58b1cd8d0
and according to them I'm not supposed to have a problem.
What could be the cause of this error?
Thanks. _________________ Your ad here. |

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Duplicate Threads.
See https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=7548
This happens too when you try a 64-bit stage with a 32-bit kernel. _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered
