A really off the wall thread!

My windows 98 installation reboots all the time, kinda annoying really.
anyone who knows if it is possible to make it ask or just disable reboot?
(do not ask why i need this shitty OS)

and if anyone knows howto disable the plug and play prg that would be great as well.

I can't answer your questions but the best place for such information is http://www.annoyances.org/ there is also a forum there where you could ask.

Does one lose credibility (or something like that) by replying?

Anyway, IIRC random reboots in win98 are mostly caused by buggy Power Manegement. Try one or more of the following:

BIOS upgrade from Manuf. homepage
Motherboard/Power Management Driver upgrade from Manuf. homepage
Windows Service Packs (are they still available?)
Disabling APM and ACPI stuff in the BIOS.
Disabling PM "features" in Windows Control Panel.

And BTW what were you smoking that you decided to ask that here? I wanna smoke it too!

hehe, I knew that asking such questions here would stir up some funny remarks.

but no need to worry about me or my mental health, the problem solved itself, due to the fact that windows refuses to boot at all.

so, I have repartioned that hard disk space, and merged it with my storage partition.

i.e : No more FSCKING W98.

thanks anyway, for your trouble, it must have been a pain answering to this thread :)

P.S

I smoke Robert McConnel's
The original
MADURO
pipe tobacco
