when I tried running the application I got this:
hb3 root # /usr/bin/gnucash
ERROR: Loaded gnucash srfi-8.scm in unknown Guile version:1.6.4.
If you're running a Guile newer than 1.4, then this file should
not have been installed. Please report the bug.
This is what I built:
hb3 root # emerge -p gnucash
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild N ] app-text/opensp-1.5-r1
[ebuild N ] dev-libs/libofx-0.6.4
[ebuild U ] app-text/openjade-1.3.2-r1 [1.3.1-r6]
[ebuild U ] dev-util/guile-1.6.4 [1.4.1]
[ebuild U ] app-office/gnucash-1.8.4 [1.8.2]
So, after the above error message I unmerged guile-1.6.4 and reemerged guile-1.4.1. Then tried the app again and got this:
hb3 guile # /usr/bin/gnucash
ERROR: In procedure dynamic-link:
ERROR: file not found
I took a look at the ebuild itself and these are a couple of the things listed:
KEYWORDS="~x86" <-----I have in my make.conf file>
SLOT="0"
LICENSE="GPL-2"
RDEPEND=">=gnome-base/gnome-libs-1.4.1.2-r1
>=dev-util/guile-1.6
So, before I totally trash my gnucash application, anyone got some good suggestions? I can't do any banking stuff at this point. TIA, Bill |

For expediency sake, I rebuilt 1.8.2 and will wait for more input about the above problem. Bill |
