OK so xmms got kicked out of portage and now I'm stuck with no mp3 player.
I knew a few other apps like Zinf (http://sourceforge.net/projects/zinf) but thats not in portage as well.
So just wondering from other what is a good mp3 player program similar to xmms or one that can
do all the same stuff.
Like, I use KDE and Fluxbox interchangably so having it use ALSA or aRTS is good.
I play stuff from mp3s to wav, to MODs to MIDIs so it better be able to play those.
So anyone know any good players out there? |

Amarok. Great program. There's also noatun and kaboodle for KDE, neither of which I like particularly. Amp, Audacious, bmpx. There're a bunch of command-line players, plus stuff like mpd (music player daemon) which need a frontend. _________________ Thomas S. Howard |

Audacious. It's basically the successor to XMMS. You'll get te same interface, somewhat differen (better) menus. Support for all the same skins. Also most of the old XMMS plugins have been ported or will be ported to audacious. If you liked XMMS, you'll like audacious. |
