Hello and happy New Year!

All I really wanted to do was update to the latest Amarok, so I could hopefully sync my Creative Zen Vision:M and iRiver with the use of libmtp. I've already emerged libmtp.

I have done much reading to solve this and it appears to be a problem with modular X, or the lack thereof. I though I already upgraded to modular X, but I cannot remember.

Code:
tux ~ # emerge -p amarok

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

Why am I getting all those blocks?

It's the same if I try to emerge update world too, except worse:

Code:

!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- x11-libs/libdrm-2.3.0 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
refer to the Gentoo Handbook.
(dependency required by "media-libs/mesa-6.5.2" [ebuild])

!!! Problem resolving dependencies for kde-base/kdewebdev
!!! Depgraph creation failed.
Code:

tux ~ # ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -uDp world

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

!!! Ebuilds for the following packages are either all
!!! masked or don't exist:
games-roguelike/falconseye games-arcade/tuxracer dev-php/php dev-php/mod_php

... done!

Can some kind person help me alog here, please? I get nervous when I'm about to make changes that could break my only computer.

Well, you still have the old X. If you'd emerged modular X, all those packages would already be installed. You'll have to unmerge x11-base/xorg-x11-6.9.<whatever>. Basically, just follow the guides:

http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/x/x11/modular-x-howto.xml
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Modular_Xorg

You may want to see if your /etc/make.profile link is set to the latest for your arch. If it's not, some stuff may be needlessly masked.
