Lo all,

This is my first post, I've been trying to determine why I get a huge list of declare statements which are all env vars before I reach the login prompt. I've been examining login.defs, profile, profile.env, login, inittab and anything else I can find related. None of these seem to have a no local echo line or provision (ie switch in the case of login). Any idea where I need to set nolocalecho?

Thanks in advance

You may want to do
Code:
nano -w
before editing system/config files. -w tells nano to disable wordwrap.
