When I try to emerge or compile something I get an error in econf:

What have I done wrong???
This problem is new to me. I installed a whole system with X and so on so far.
Please help.

What version of autoconf, gcc and glibc are you running? |

autoconf: 2.57
gcc: 3.2.3
glibc: 2.3.2
CFLAGS: -march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe
CXXFLAGS are like CFLAGS
I don't think that it depends on the CFLAGS, because I've used them for the entire system.

I asked because this error message is often caused by bad CFLAGS. The strange thing is that your CFLAGS differ from the output of configure, but neither the ebuild or the configure script seem to override them. |
