Would it be possible to include the keywords of a search into the result page, or at least into the url?
Code: | Search found 123 matches
Keywords: foo AND bar |
or something similar would do.
On a very productive day, i normally do some searches and leave the results open, do another search on a new page and leave results open...
so after some hours i can't remember what i searched for the specific results page.
just a thought. _________________ Markus Nigbur |

hm. didn't thought about the phpBB team adding this feature generally, but just for gentoo forums..
shouldn't be much work, I will look into into it if I find some spare time.
searched on phpBB.com for something equal, but couldn't find anything. _________________ Markus Nigbur |

Very few things are implemented here if phpbb isn't doing it. Maintenance can be a pain during version upgrades. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

One thing I have noticed on various phpbb based forums is that within the last few months, the search engine has changed for the worse.
For example, I can't type version numbers like "2.5.72" into the search box and get a list of posts containing that string. I can no longer get any results for multi-word strings either like "this is a test". No matter what I type, I either get 'no matches' or I get several hundered irrelevant posts. Its very frustrating searching the forums like this. |
