hey gentooheads..

Running gentoo just fine on my T30.. when I close the laptop, it sleeps..
when I open it back up, it seems to resume ok.

but im having malfunctions with my aironet 35x card.

what I want to do is run some stuff AS the laptop is suspending
and run some stuff when the laptop wakes up..
I found the following
/etc/apm/suspend.d
and
/etc/apm/resume.d

Im ASSUMING (casue I cand find any docs) that you put scripts you want to run in these
dirs, but that doesnt seem to work..

where is the correct place for my scripts..

btw, im running /etc/init.d/apm

-DB

so ive been playing with this and supposedly you are supposed to use
/etc/apm/event.d
instead of
/etc/apm/suspend.d and /etc/apm/resume.d

but when I close my laptop, I cant see that any of these scripts are getting run.. is there something else that I have to do to make this work?
apm is running
zim suspend.d $ ps auxw | grep -i apm
root 3 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? SW 09:02 0:00 [kapmd]
root 898 0.0 0.1 1336 536 ? S 09:03 0:00 /usr/sbin/apmd -w 10 -v -P /etc/apm/apmd_proxy

:?

hi,

im just another user with ibm t30. suspend and standby work for me (vanilla sources 2.4.21 + apmd installed). If i command the notebook with "apm -s" or "apm -S", scripts in /etc/apm/suspend.d are run by apmd -> /etc/apm/apmd_proxy. so far so good.

unfortunately, apmd daemon is unable to run those scripts if i use keyboard (Fn+F4).

i do not know why. i briefly went through man pages and documentation, i do not have any solution yet.

good luck,

jakub
