i used gcc 4.1.1 since it has become default compiler some months ago, now i synced my system and theres a -r1 version of gcc 4.1.1, what do i have to do ? i updated gcc already, do i have to "emerge system" ?? thx a lot

emerge -av --deep world updates the compiler
emerge -e system
emerge -e world

You do not need to rebuild your world/system on a revision or minor bump of GCC (unless instructed to).
