Console scrolling

In other distros I can scroll up and down in the console by holding the shift key and using the arrow keys. This doesn't work in Gentoo and I haven't a clue why. It works fine in an xterm, but will not work with a normal console (no X).

Yes, I tried this as well, but it doesn't work.

Are you using a framebuffer by any chance?
