hi!
I was emerging gnome and there was error while emerging dev-lang/python-2.4.3-r1
Quote:

eutils.eclass, line 1619: Called die

!!! dev-lang/python-2.4.3-r1 does not actually support the tk USE flag!
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.

I tried:
1:
Code:
USE="-tk" emerge pyopengl

2:
Code:
echo "dev-lang/python tk" >> /etc/portage/package.use

Do you have any ideas, what could i do?

Hello. I am having this exact same problem. This is a fresh install. I also attempted the same workarounds with the same luck. Any help would be great. Thanks

ok so after a bit more of playing around i found that if you add tk to your use flags and then
Code:
emerge --newuse python
it should work.
