can someone help me getting kismet running with my orinoco wireless card?

I always get this:

Code:

# kismet
Serveroptions:  none
Client options:  none
Starting server...
FATAL:  Specifiying a uid-0 user for the priv drop is pointless.  Recompile with --disabled-setuid if you really want this.
Starting UI...
FATAL: Could not connect to localhost:2501.
Terminating...

1. make a new user with wheel permissions
2. edit kismet.conf and change the USER line to that new user
3. run "kismet_monitor" from root
4. ctrl-alt-f2 to a new console, login as the new non-root user
5. type kismet
