Xfce4 is booting acroread all the time I start session, even if i save the session with no open acroread process.
It's not in ~/Desktop/Autostart and neither in ~/.config/autostart.

If I save a shell window the save session keep the shell next time i logon, if i close and save session it doesn't appear.

Just acroread starts with session. :?

Am I missing something ?

Thks

I already saw this case, but i look again to be sure, because it's very likely to be something here.

I disconnect (startup programs) skype, amsn, conky, gkrellm2. Save session.Exit.
Return, and acroread opens again, even with no programs in autostart.

On close I have: (gnome-terminal is not saved with session)

ok,
I would do as follows:
- copy (preserving premissions) your xfce configuration (AFAIR .config) directory for example to ~/backup/
- remove .config directory
- start xfce once again and see if acroread starts again
if
yes -> it is not a matter of xfce probabily (maby somewhere in general settings, but I doubt about that)
no -> you should check your .config files (or other that may be directly or indirectly called during xfce startup) to see if they _really_ do not contain any acroreac connected lines

Well I copied. saw first desktop i had since i started to use xfce, and acroread...
Nothing about options inside acroread .

I think I will unmerge acroread, to get an error.

Maybe is gnome interfering ? But I don't have a clue how.

I unmerge acroread and it's stop apearing, but no error.

Re-emerging and I get acroread on startup again.

well it is probably a workaround, but why don't you simply ditch the acrobat and try something like evince...
the other thing is to search for occurences (grep) of acroread in your home folder, or try a new xfce4 session or with a new user - this way you could localize the problem.

I was not talking about options of acroread but general xfce options, set AFAIR in /etc/xdg or sth and not in .config
and do as Gergan Penkov says, try to localize some files with call to acroread, one way is grepping but another can be using Midnight Commander to search files, which contain 'acroread' word. Searching should be done in your whole homedir.

And if you start xfce from root account does acroread start or not ?

I don't know how to use properly mc so
Code:

find /etc/xdg -type f -exec cat {} \; |grep acro

and nothing :(

I simple can't uninstall a program just because he starts, I have xpdf also.

As root it doesn't start acroread, so at least it's a local problem.

another way is to see an ebuild for acro in order to find what it does during installation, you can also see the output of emerge while installing acroread, maby there you can find some hint...
