I'm running on an Ultra 5. I just updated my systems (emerge -uD world), and then had to go to class, and left before going through etc-update (there were quite a few, ~145 files to update). I came home, and something weird had happened: both my Ultra 5 and my other desktop computer had rebooted, but there were no other signs of a power outage in my apartment (all the clocks were fine). The x86 desktop is ok, but the prompt on the sparc won't get past the "SI" of silo. To be more specific, here is what my screen shows:
Code: |
Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSparc - IIi 360 MHz), Keyboard Present.
OpenBoot 3.31, 256 MB ( 50 ns) memory installed, Serial # xxxxxxxxx
Ethernet Address xxxxxxxx Host ID: xxxxxxx
Boot device: disk0 File and args:
(pauses for like 4 seconds)S(pauses for like 10 seconds)I(pauses for approx. one minutes)
ok

I'm going to try to boot into the hd off of a cd in a little bit (have to make dinner first), but I just wondered if anyone has any idea how bad this really is?
