Grub: Error 15: File not found

Hi...
I've tried installing Gentoo a few times so far, but always end up with a non booting system. I get through the install process fine, but at the very end, in Grub, I get this error. It checks if "/boot/grub/stage1" and "/grub/stage1" exist, and comes back with no for both, even though they do. Also, I get this even with the stage 3 install. Im installing on an ECS K7S5A mobo with a Duron 1200 if this helps. Thanx for any help.

Give some more information please:
1. What partitions do you have (i.e. is /boot hda1)?
2. What commands in grub are you running that cause this error?
