Hi,
Long time Linux user, just switched to Gentoo. Love it so far!
Biggest problem so far is that I have no parallel port device. /dev/lp0 is not there, neither is anything appearing to be a parallel port.
I'm using the gentoo-sources kernel, and "Parallel port" and "PC-style parallel port" are compiled in (not modules).
Do I need to put something in devfsd.conf?

I didn't have "Parallel printer support" enabled in the Character Device section. Gaah. Been so long since I've compiled a kernel for a desktop box that I forgot about that one. |
