I tried to emerge openmotif with various flags, and two different XFree version (in case it is related), I always end up with this:
Code: | recv.c: In function `WSMDefaultOwnSelection':

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I./../../../lib -march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -fPIC -Wall -Wno-unused -Wno-comment -c send.c

Anyone has got an idea please? Kinda wierd... I redownloaded the package a couple of times so I am sure it is not a local messed-up ebuild. |

Which versions of:
gcc
glibc
xfree
are you running?
I have the same version as you installed without a problem.
I'm running gcc 3.2.2-r3, glibc 2.3.2 and xfree 4.3.0-r1.

gcc 3.2.2-r2
glibc 2.3.2
xfree 4.3.0-r1
You mentioned gcc 3.2.2-r3, I don't see it in the ~x86 arch?
That is the only difference between our two configurations... really wierd.
I do not dare trying to delete my current openmotif installation and risk a full new emerge since it may fail. |

Problem solved.
Latest openmotif could not be compiled with latest (unstable) lesstif. I had to downgrade to latest stable lesstif and recompile openmotif with it. |
