My emerge -Duv world stopped on wireshark because of the perl "minimal" flag. I've searched this forum and found that I should make emerge --sync to get fixed wireshark ebuild. After doing that and emerging a new portage, running emerge -Duv world causes this error:
Code:

!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:

# This is masked for removal and will be removed on Septermber 29th.

I don't even know what this "glitz" is :) but it seems that it wants the old nvidia drivers. Could someone tell me what's going on?

You could try to unmask the old drivers and do "emerge -avuDNt world" to find out what brings in the glitz package. If you need that on your system, you can try to mask the old driver again and unmask a new version of glitz...
