Google revealed nothing but the vague advice to try again in an hour (did that, no help). What is unusual is that portage is not attempting to re-download the file. Normally when a file is corrupt portage immediately re-downloads it. Also what is odd is that sha & some of the other checksums check out ok.
On the meantime I suppose I will have to play games with masking packages but I am curious as to why this is happening. |

happens with broken downloads or other errors like that. The best solution is to remove the package gtk+-2.8.19.tar.bz2 for /usr/portage/distfiles and resyncing the portage
and then trying to reemerge the package. |
