Hi. I've got XGL working lately and I like it very much, but I've had a few problems:
1) When I insert a CD (or any other media for that matter) it doesn't appear in the media:// folder or on the desktop, but if I open a program which has to access it it works...
2) The KDE system sounds don't play anymore when I resize windows
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

well , probably kde-sound-system worked hand in hand with kde-window-manager[ or how it`s named]. when you start xgl & compiq kde-window-manager isn`t run anymore , so no sound. you probably can`t fix that. |

Moved from Desktop Environments to Unsupported Software since XGL isn't in portage. _________________ No-one's more important than the earthworm. |

Strange thing is this happens with SOME XGL/Compiz revs and not others. _________________ Core i7 920 D0 | Asus P6T DLX | Patriot Viper 1600 6GB | Antec Quattro 850W

And so... how do we get the system sounds to work again? I can't hear the resize window sound, however other system sounds does work. |
