German localization documentation doesn't work...

Hi Everybody,

I wanted to try the german system environment with EURO support and was quite lucky that there was some documentation. Unfortunately it does not work that way...

I have:
/etc/profile:
export LANG="de_DE@euro"

/etc/rc.conf:
KEYMAP="de-latin1-nodeadkeys"
CONSOLEFONT="lat0-16"

But with these settings I have a qwertz keyboard but the only signs that does not work are:

§ (paragraph)
° (degree)
ß (ess-zett)
€ (euro)
ü Ü
ö Ö
ä Ä

At all these keys I get some strange symbols from the ASCII table...
