Hi all,
I had to do an update so I did:
Then portage told me that the package 'pam-login' conflicts with the package 'shadow'.
I didn't realy know what to do, so I unmerged 'pam-login'.
Then the Update worked.
Now when I login or when I type 'su' the pc gives me this errors:

configuration error - unknown item 'MOTD_FILE' (notify administrator)

configuration error - unknown item 'ENV_ROOTPATH' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'PASS_MIN_LEN' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'CHFN_AUTH' (notify administrator)

What can I do now ? I can't install 'pam-login' because it conflicts with 'shadow'.
I found a lot of threads where people had similarly problems like this, but I have unmerged 'pam-login' !
I hope you can help me.

| Did you run the important and necessary etc-update after emerging shadow? |
