I would like to burn some old DiscJuggler discimages i have on a drive. Is there any native solution to this or should I try Wine(x3) or VmWare and install a DiscJuggler there ??

Here's how I handle such an image:
1. Turn on Windows XP/2K box.
2. Mount the image using Damon tools.
3. Make a linux-compatible image:
3.a. If the virtual cd includes audio tracks or has a weird layout, use a ripper to make a .bin/.cue pair out of it.
3.b. Otherwise, rip it to a normal .iso using dd under Cygwin. (dd if=/dev/scdX of=image.iso) (X = cdrom number as shown in windows volume manager)
4. Mount under linux:
4.a. If .bin/.cue, use virtualcd:
4.a.1. (emerge virtualcd)
4.a.2. (modprobe virtualcd)
4.a.3. vcsetup /dev/virtualcd/unused-number /path/to/image.cue
4.a.4. mount -o ro -t iso9660 /dev/virtualcd/same-number /mount/point
4.b. If .iso, mount -o loop,ro -type iso9660 /path/to/image.iso /mount/point |

Why not just write the image from the Windows box then as well? That would be much easier I think.
I'm not familiar with the Discjuggler format, but generally isn't it just a case of renaming the TOC and image file so the they are *.bin/.cue? This is generally the case with CloneCD. _________________ Postcount ++ |

Oh, for burning them? Yes. I'm so used to doing loopback emulation (or Damon Tools emulation in Windows) that the thought of burning it managed to slip my mind

I think the new format (CCD 4.x) has a third file for subchannel data, and I'm pretty sure the CCD equivelant to .bin isn't the same as a normal .bin would be.
RE Discjuggler: It's a useless proprietary format that from what I can tell, packs a glorified cuesheet into the same file as the binary data. |

After some intense Googling I found this :
http://cdirip.freeyellow.com/index_en.htm
wich is to some help, basically a prog to rip the audio and data of a .cdi file.
I am not shure if this fullfill my every need yet since I haven't had a chance to test it.
Other ideas are still welcome.
Have anyone tried using Discjuggler with Wine ?? I've seen success stories with Nero (among others)
