Ok so I emerged the audigy module from portage but what do I do after that to get sound working?
And is the kernel module better than ALSA or are they same I confused. |

I used the ALSA one (before my Audigy broke; it's being RMA'ed now) and was very happy with it. It was much better than this crappy nForce2 sound (yes, I have the deluxe model with the hardware DSP), despite all the people saying how wonderful the onboard nForce2 sound is supposed to be. Better than normal onboard sound, sure, better than an Audigy? Nope. |

I shall try out ALSA. Its too bad my acoustic edge doesnt have linux support because personally I feel it sounds a hell of a lot better than the audigy |
