|
|
I tried emergeing qdvdauthor, and one of the dependencies (urt) failed to emerge, giving this error
Code: | ACCESS DENIED access_wr: /
>>> Source unpacked.
--------------------------- ACCESS VIOLATION SUMMARY ---------------------------
LOG FILE = "/var/log/sandbox/sandbox-media-libs_-_urt-3.1b-r1-15017.log"
access_wr: /
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
After searching the forums, I found the solution to this type of thing was to update sandbox, but when I try to update sandbox (I'm using 1.2.11 atm), I get this error
Code: | >>> Source compiled.
--------------------------- ACCESS VIOLATION SUMMARY ---------------------------
LOG FILE = "/var/log/sandbox/sandbox-sys-apps_-_sandbox-1.2.18.1-15227.log"
access_wr: /
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
what do I do?
The log files only contain the line "access_wr: /"

sorry for wasting space here, but the solution was to unmerge the old sandbox before emerging the new one. |

You can also just run:
Code: | FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge sandbox |

Big thank you from me too. I was about to start installing all over again. Now i can continue with the next box
Btw, for those who're interrested; this happened after i (accidently) installed from a 2005.0 cd and upgraded to a 2006.1 profile. Everything went fine until i tried to emerge vixie-cron.
edit: haha i just realized that after 4 years of using gentoo, i'm still noob status. Perhaps i should start answering questions or something |
