Hi there.
I am try to get xine-ui working, and it seems that I need aalib for that. When I compile aalib though, I get this error:

Code:

updating cache ./config.cache
creating ./config.status
creating Makefile
creating man/Makefile
creating doc/Makefile
creating src/Makefile
creating aalib-config
creating src/config.h
cd . && aclocal
cd . && automake --gnu --include-deps Makefile
cd . && autoconf
autom4te: invalid option --language=autoconf
Try `autom4te --help' for more information.
make: *** [configure] Error 1

!!! ERROR: media-libs/aalib-1.4_rc4-r2 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 54, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)

Any ideas?
Please help :lol:

I managed to work around the problem by changing the sym-link for autom4te, which was pointing to ../lib/autoconf/ac_wrapper.pl, such that it pointed to ./autom4te-2.57. The parameter "--language=autoconf" doesn't seem to be recognized by the ac_wrapper.pl script...but then my Perl is not that good.

Once the emerge was comleted I changed the sym-link back -- I am assuming someone more in the know than myself set it up this way for a reason....

Interestingly autom4te and autoconf both point to ac_wrapper.pl, which seems to make sense for the autoconf, but not so much for the autom4te. Anyone know the reason for this?

Bommee
