1) Konqueror - Settings - Configure Konqueror - Previews & Meta-Data
check Local Protocols
check file
adjust Maximum file size
check Use thumbnails embedded in files
2) Konqueror - Settings - Configure Konqueror - File Associations - image - jpeg - Embedding - Services Preference Order
Embeddable Image Viewer (khtmlimage) shoud be on top.
If not, Move Up or Add Embeddable Image Viewer (khtmlimage)
3) KDE Control Center - Appearance & Themes - Style - Widget Style
check Enable tooltips |

I played around with some KDE settings and screwed up the preview function.
This forum has many posts on the first and second steps, but rarely on the third which caused a problem for me. |
