|
|
hi there,
i recently noticed that my gnomesu isnt doing anything when i click the buttons or press enter to start the entered application. does anyone know something about how to fix that?
when calling it from command line it tells me the signal handlers could not been found. heres the complete output:
Code: | akb@acer ~ $ gnomesu gnome-cups-manager
(gnomesu:1385): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'on_gtk_command_textbox_activate'.
(gnomesu:1385): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'on_gtk_password_textbox_activate'.
(gnomesu:1385): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'on_gtk_ok_button_clicked'.
(gnomesu:1385): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'on_gtk_cancel_button_clicked'.
(gnomesu:1385): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'quit_program'. |
i have no broken dependencies any more (have had this libexpam-thingy, but revdep-rebuild did the trick) and i have remerged libglade several times now... like i did with gnomesu just few minutes before.
here are the versions of these two packages, if its relevant:
libglade-2.5.1
gnomesu-0.3.1-r1
well... and i am running a nicely working gnome-2.14 environment with xgl+compiz. if its somewhat necessary |

Short answer:
Code: | LDFLAGS="-Wl,--export-dynamic" emerge gnomesu |
should solve the problem. |

fixed for me too on amd64.. the odd thing is, I had a fresh install a couple days ago and I didn't have this problem with the previous install... _________________ The box said "Requires Windows 95 or better." I can't understand why it won't work on my Linux computer. |

It is fixed 0.3.1-r2 according to BugZilla. It was masked with ~amd64 keyword so I added it to package.keywords, and installed it. It works well for me now. |

Thanks for posting this fix, I had to use this with gcursor to fix it's broken buttons.
NM, don't use this program, just noticed it's over two years without an update. _________________ • Helpful Linux Tidbits |
