I've been away from Gentoo too long. I've just put up a minimal AMD 64-bit system with X (modular) and XFCE starting from a stage3 tarball. Now after my second emerge --sync, I have a blocker:
[blocks B ] sys-apps/pam-login (is blocking sys-apps/shadow-4.0.15-r2
Is it safe to remove the blocker, or will this break my system? If that's the case, why am I getting this conflict? I'm not using unstable. I don't really understand pam-login.
Here's my make.conf
Code: | CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe"
CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
MAKEOPTS="-j2"
USE="-gtk -gnome qt kde dvd alsa cdr"
