Is there a way to install gentoo without a video card in the SunBlade ?
I know it's possible to connect to the machine by terminal when there's no video card but can I also install gentoo -- At least get SSH on ?
Thanks

Sure, most Sun SPARC machines fall back to serial console when they don't have a keyboard attached. _________________ Gustavo Zacarias

Ok cool, but did you ever tried that ?
Is there some documentation i can read to just get an IP and start SSH ? I'll do the installation with it if i can't find any videocard. |

In most circumstances the livecd will pick up an IP by itself if DHCP is available on the network.
With regards to ssh that should be in the handbook but i don't recall at this particular moment.
Anyhow, it would be setting root's password and just starting the old fashined gentoo way "/etc/init.d/sshd start" - no more, no less. _________________ Gustavo Zacarias

K cool !
And as I have the opportunity: Will I have troubles installing Gentoo on my Sunblade 2000 ? Do I need to know some strange behaviors Linux has with Sparc ? |
