I havn't updated my system for a while, so I ran an update. I went from 69% used harddrive space to 79% used harddrive space withou installing anything new. I just ran the update. There were some 70 + objects that were updated. What can I delete from portage and such. Thanks. |

Downloaded packages go to /usr/portage/distfiles/, you can delete that to save some space. |

what happened after deleting /etc/tmp?
u can safely delete /usr/tmp/portage/*
it is better to keep the distfiles and the portage. a reinstall on downgrade of some packages may be necessary.
if u plan to install more packages make some more place available in harddisk.
how long u can delete tmp and install packages. _________________ reach out a little bit more to catch it (DON'T BELIEVE the advocate part under my user name) |
