just saw it on slashdot. linux-ntfs - is supposed to be the thing in ntfs access.
check out http://data.linux-ntfs.org/cvs-snapshots/
may we please have an ebuild?

After a small amount of hunting... http://gentoo-portage.com/sys-fs/ntfsprogs has the release that came out on June 21st, their newest release (which is probably the reason for the big huff) will probably be around soon.
