When I do emerge, I notice some USE flags are followed by a "%", and they are in yellow color.
What does the "%" mean? or is that some kind of syntax error?

Hi there!

It's not an error, it's a feature ;-)

The USE flags you mentioned are new USE flags - USE flags which are added in the newest release.

Just take a look at the article covering the changes of portage-2.1 :-)

OK. I found the answer. It's a new feature which is explained in "man emerge"...
