hello i've got a problem configuring X with xf86cfg. when i start it, i see the config windows and right off it a 'keyboard scheme' that tells me how to move the mouse cursor with the numpad. unfortunately, neither the mouse nor the keyboard work, means i can't do anything! what's wrong? can i somehow manually add at least mouse+keyboard to the X config files? i've got a ms explorer optical mouse with wheel + ms internet keyboard (don't worry, that's the only two things i've bought from ms ;-) )

thanks for your help!

tom

Have you tried running xf86config ??

Also if that doesnt help, xfree provide generic setup examples on their website support section.
